my check engine light turns on and it stays on. It over heats in traffic. what can i do to fix it?

Check your coolant level on the reserve tank. If it is below “low” mark, add some coolant. Also check if there are any leak from your radiator.

If you car gets over heated in slow trafic, check your heat censor. When the engin gets heated, cooling fan kicks off. If your heat censor is bad, the fan does not kick off.

either you can change your light or you can check through mechanic these are the only two points i have
